Village Park and Play Area Update  03/07/2020

Final preparations for opening the Play Area in Tremlett Grove and The Recreation Ground will be completed on the morning of Wednesday 8th July 2020, followed by both opening to the public at midday.

Most of the required maintenance and repair work within the Park has now been carried out. However due to Covid-19 some of the materials required to finish this work has been in short supply, therefore some of the items of equipment will not be in use quite yet. These will be clearly marked and put out of use or taped off.

You will find that various extra notices will be in place around the Park areas to assist all members of the public when using the Park.

Please may we ask all using the Parks to continue to heed and obey all current Government Guidelines.

Keep Safe

Playing Field and Play Equipment – June Update

In line with current Government Guidance and for safety the play equipment remains out of order in accordance with the scientific and medical advice that the Covid -19 virus can remain on metal surfaces for up to 72 hours.

The Parish Council is taking the opportunity to carry out extensive maintenance and repair works to the play equipment and skatepark. The entrance and footpath has recently been relaid to improve access for residents.

The Parish Council would like to thank everyone who has co-operated and complied with the Government social distancing guidelines and who have helped in supporting our neighbours during the crisis.

We are assessing the advice daily and will open the facilities as soon as it is considered and advised it is safe to do so.
